Air pollution is one of the three leading causes of global mortality, with approximately 7 million deaths each year due to outdoor and indoor air pollution.

PM2.5, an air pollutant, has become a problem in recent years.
PM2.5 concentrations are particularly high in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, where rapid development is happening.
